Activities on the Farm:
The Agriturismo Le Murce has a swimming pool (6x12
meters), playground for children, bicycles available
to guests, and a barbecue. The Agriturismo will
organize cooking courses (making preserves, sauces,
jams and preserving for winter), gardening courses
etc…
Activities outside the Farm:
A short distance from the farm you can find tennis
courts, indoor and outdoor half football fields,
horse stables, Golf course and lakes for sport fishing.
In the nearby State forest of Petralunga Bocca Serriola,
which extends for over 10,000 hectares, you can
go on mountain biking, hiking and horse riding excursions.
It is a striking mosaic of deciduous forest (oak,
maple, pine), Confer forests, fields, pastures,
and farms. It is listed amongst the natural areas
of particular interest in the Umbrian region. It
boasts about its three protected reserves for wild
fauna (Candeleto, Barrea and Rogni) . Of particular
merit within its boarder that also includes the
Carpina Valley which surrounds small waterfalls,
springs, gorges, wooden foot bridges and old mills.
The ground cover is rich with mushrooms, black berries,
wild strawberries and truffles. From the fields
until Guelfo Castle you can follow the old road<Castellana>
that today is no longer used for vehicles. The outline
of this view is pronounced by the continuous up
and down of the scenery along the watershed, which
coincides with an ancient Roman road of which some
remnants remain, along with the ruins of Roman villas
in the area.
Near the artificial lake of Casella del Vescovo
you can go fishing for a small fee.
Fontecchio Spa, has been noted from the end of
the Roman era in the time of Plinio the Young.
Today it represents an exceptional point of reference
for the care and rehabilitation for various health
conditions, to regain physco-physico equilibrium
and to relax. The mineral waters and mud are amongst
the high level of specialized services offered.
Beyond this they were awarded at “Fontecchio”
the qualification of Spa of the first category
super, they have made a center prized and well
known throughout Italy.
